"I've always been a seat-of-the-pants type writer in the news business, but writing a complex novel demands more interconnected details.  Your plotting program is amazingly easy to understand and pushed my fiction story to a new level."

Mary Buckham has traveled at least once to every continent, except Antarctica.

Always an adventurer at heart, Mary Buckham has traveled at least once to every continent, except Antarctica.  She left Spokane to attend universities in Seattle, Hawaii, Italy and eventually Washington D.C. Not yet ready to settle down she proceeded to hike around the world, starting from Washington state and heading east. But she only made it to England, where she met her husband.  Their plans to live in Europe took a detour with the appearance of six children in their first few years of marriage.

Seeking to escape diapers and dishes, Mary joined the Corporate world, working in both the Accounting and Financial fields before she realized what she really wanted to do – write. And she did! Freelance articles led to a non-fiction travel guide. She later became an editor for a regional magazine, Inland NW Family Magazine, and contributing editor for two others.  But the entire time, Mary continued to write fiction as well, eventually selling her first novel in 2004.  Her award-winning novels and experience as national workshop coordinator for national best-selling authors, led her to co-found the popular online writers community www.WriterUniv.com and become a sought after national workshop presenter both in the U.S. and Canada.

These days Mary lives in a picturesque port town on Washington’s coast with her children and a husband who learned how to cook because Mary tends to forget things like meal prep when caught up in a good plot line. For more information on Mary’s books and activities stop by www.MaryBuckham.com and for details on where she’ll be presenting one of the highly-successful Plot YOUR Book in 2 Days Retreats she developed with Dianna Love click here.

Taking this Retreat has changed my entire way of thinking as a writer, reader, and movie watcher. I'm beginning to relate all the stories in my life to these templates.
